Uninstall the ICA driver (macOS 10.13 - macOS 12).

 

  1. Disconnect the USB cable between the Mac and your Brother machine.

     

  2. Log on as an "Administrator".

     

  3. Click Go from the Finder bar, Computer => Macintosh HD => Library => Image Capture => Devices.

     

  4. Delete the Brother Scanner.

    Devices folder

     

  5. Empty the trash bin.

     

  6. Reboot the Mac.
