What do the indicator lights mean?

Control panel status LEDs

  1. Display LED (green)
    Lights up when the AiRScouter is on and an image is being projected on the display.
     
  2. Key lock LED (red)
    Lights up when button operation on the Control Box is locked.
     
  3. Internal battery LED (orange)
    Lights up when the battery is being charged.
     
  4. External power LED (orange)
    Lights up when power is being supplied from the AC adapter or from an external battery (third-party USB battery).

    
The LED indicators light up or flash to show the status of the AiRScouter.  The following illustrations indicate the meaning of the colours and flashing patterns of the LED indicators.

 

 Green, Orange, or Red
LED indicator lights up in the colour shown
 Flashing green or Flashing orange
LED indicator flashes in the colour shown
* The flashing patterns depend on the status shown in the tables below.

Green Display ON The AiRScouter receives video, which appears on the Head Display, from an external device.

Operating The Control Box is starting.

The AiRScouter is not receiving a video signal from an external device.

Off Power OFF The AiRScouter is turned off.  To turn it on, press and hold the Power button.

   
Key lock LED

Red Key lock ON Button operation on the Control Box is locked.

Key lock OFF Button operation on the Control Box is not locked.

  
Internal battery LED (the AiRScouter is powered by the internal battery)

Orange Battery level high The internal battery charge is high.
Flashing orange
(Slowly)
Battery level medium The internal battery charge is close to half-full.
Flashing orange
(Quickly)
Battery level low

The internal battery charge is low.

Off No battery The internal battery is close to zero.

   
External power LED (the AiRScouter is powered by the AC adapter)

Charging error

An error occurred while the internal battery was being charged.

Off Full charge The internal battery is fully charged.

   
External power LED (the AiRScouter is powered by an external battery)

No battery

The charge level of the external battery is low.

If the internal battery is charged, the power source will be switched to the internal battery (the internal battery LED lights up).
