Microsoft Windows 10 Support Statement
Most Brother models offer support for Microsoft Windows 10. When using your Brother machine in Windows 10, you must use the driver that is compatible with Windows 10. See the Printer Driver Information for each model.
* Ad-hoc cannot be used with Windows 10.
There are two types of drivers compatible with Microsoft Windows 10.
Brother original driver
Brother original drivers are developed by Brother. These drivers have the full driver functionality with Brother features.
For the latest drivers, we recommend using the "Go" links in the chart below to take you to the download page for your model on the Brother support website.
Built-in driver
The built-in drivers are already included with Windows 10 or are available through Windows update. These drivers are also referred to as "in-box drivers" or "in-OS drivers". The built-in drivers support the basic functions of your Brother machine.
