How can I connect the printer to my mobile device via Wi-Fi®?

  1. Write down the SSID (Network Name) and password (Network Key) of your Wi-Fi access point/router.
  2. Make sure the printer is fully charged and the AC power cord is disconnected.
  3. Press the Power button.
    The Power Indicator is lit in green.
  4. Connect the printer and computer using a USB cable.
  5. Download the Software/Document Installer from the [Downloads] section of this website.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed with the installation.

    Make sure the checkboxes for [Printer Driver] and [Printer Setting Tool] are checked.

  7. Press the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi button ( Bluetooth/Wi-Fi ) on your printer to turn on the Wi-Fi function.
    Make sure the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi indicator ( Bluetooth/Wi-Fi ) starts flashing in green or cyan once every three seconds.
    If it is flashing in blue, press and hold the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi button for about three seconds. The flashing color changes each time you press and hold it.
  8. Start the Printer Setting Tool on your computer, and click the [Communication Settings] button.
  9. Click [Communication Settings] in the [General] tab.
  10. Select [Infrastructure] for [Selected Interface], and then click [Apply].
  11. Click [Wireless settings] in the [Wireless LAN] tab.
  12. Enter the SSID and password that you wrote down, and then click [Apply].
    When the connection between the printer and your Wi-Fi access point/router is established, the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi indicator is lit in green or cyan. Mobile devices on the same network as the printer will have access to the printer.

    To change any other network settings, use the Printer Setting Tool.

    • To connect your mobile device to the Wi-Fi access point/router, select the SSID and enter the password of the Wi-Fi access point/router.

To configure the Wi-Fi settings again, or if the status of the Wi-Fi connection for your printer is not clear, reset the Wi-Fi settings of the printer.

  1. Confirm that the printer is turned off.
  2. While holding down the Feed button ( Feed ), press the Power button ( Power ) three times, and then release the Feed button.
    The Power indicator ( Power ) starts flashing in orange.
  3. Press the Feed button once.
