FAQs & Troubleshooting

Follow the steps below to unpack the machine:

NOTE: Illustrations shown below are from a representative product and may differ from your Brother machine.

1. Open the box.
           
   
      
2. Remove the package containing printed materials and the installation disc.
            
   
       
3. Remove the power cord.
             
   
        
4. Remove the telephone line cord.
              
   
              
5. Remove the packing foam.
                
   
             
6. Lift the machine out of the box.
                    
   
                               
7. Remove the plastic and the tape.
               
   
                
8. Open the front cover.
                
   
    
9. Remove the packing material.
        
   
    
10. Remove the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly.
     
    
     
11. Place the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly on a clean, flat surface.
      
    
     
12. Remove the orange packing material.
     
    
     
13. Install the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly back into the machine.
       
    
     
14. Close the front cover.
