To use a static IP address to connect your printer to a wired LAN, install the printer driver and Printer Setting Tool (for macOS10.15 or earlier), and then specify the wired LAN connection settings.

You cannot use the wireless and wired function at the same time. Before you use the wired function, turn off the wireless function.

Use a straight-through Category 5 (or greater) twisted-pair cable for 10BASE-T or 100BASE-TX Fast Ethernet Network.

Connect the printer to the LAN port that is not subjected to overvoltage.
Follow the procedures below:

Turn on the printer.

Download Full Software Package from the [Downloads] section of this website.

Double-click the downloaded file, and then start the installer from [Start Here Mac].

When the [Connection Type] dialog box appears, select [Wired Network Connection (Ethernet)].

Click [Next] and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

Connect the LAN cable to the printer LAN port.

The printer is now available with a computer via wired LAN (Ethernet).
For printers compatible with the printer driver

Turn on the printer.

Download the printer driver from the [Downloads] section of this website.

Double-click the downloaded file, and then follow the instructions to install the printer driver.

Connect the LAN cable to the printer LAN port.

From the Apple Menu, open [System Settings]/[System Preferences] - [Printers & Scanners]/[Print & Scan].

Click [Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax] or the [+] button.

Click the [Default] icon at the top of the dialog box.

Choose your machine from the [Name] list.

Choose "[model name] + CUPS" from the [Use] list.
If you cannot find "[model name] + CUPS", the CUPS printer driver is not installed. Download and install the latest CUPS printer driver from the [Downloads] section.

Click [Add].

The printer is now available with a computer via wired LAN (Ethernet).

Choose [Quit System Settings] or [Quit System Preferences] from the Apple Menu.
For printers not compatible with printer driver

Connect the printer and the computer with a LAN cable properly.

The printer is now available with a computer via wired LAN (Ethernet).
