If the User Settings report prints out okay, continue to STEP 3.
Make an ADF (automatic document feeder) copy of the User Settings report.
Lift up and unfold the ADF document output support flap (1). Unfold the ADF document support (2).
Press COPY on the control panel. The button should light up blue when pressed.
Place the User Settings report face up in the ADF. You may need to adjust the paper guides (1) to fit the width of the report.
After you put your document(s) in the ADF, the Brother machine’s LCD should display “ADF Ready” for a few seconds. If it does not, pull out the document and load it again.
Press Start. The machine will make a copy of the User Settings report.
If the copy of the User Settings report prints out okay, close the ADF document output support flap and the ADF document support and continue to STEP 4.
If the copy of the User Settings report prints out blank, place the User Settings report face up in the ADF again. Make certain that the printed side of the report is on top. Make another copy.
If the copy of the User Settings report prints out okay, close the ADF document output support flap and the ADF document support and continue to STEP 4.
