How to clean the Platen Roller

Clean the Platen Roller as follows when replacing the label roll with a new one.

 

  1. Turn off the printer.

  2. Open the Media Cover.

  3. Push the Print Head Release Lever to open the Print Head.

  4. Rotate the Platen Roller and wipe it thoroughly with a lint-free cloth or cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol or ethanol.

  5. Close the Print Head by pushing down on both sides and make sure it locks into place.

  6. Close the Media Cover.

Calibrate the Gap/Black Mark Sensor every time you change the media.
