The error message Cartridge Error is an indication that has a problem.

Check the error message shown on the machine's display (hereinafter called LCD) and follow the solution suitable for your case.

• If the LCD shows Reinstall the Ink Cartridge, the ink cartridge is not installed correctly.
  
  Take out the ink cartridge, and put it back into the machine again. Click here to see how to reinstall the Ink Cartridge.

• If the LCD shows Turn the machine OFF and then back ON, the ink is not being supplied correctly.
  
  Turn the machine off, and then turn it on again. If the problem continues, please contact Brother Customer Service from "Contact Us".
