Turn Fax Storage feature off

To turn Fax Storage off, follow these steps:


  1. Press Menu/Set.

  2. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Fax. Press Menu/Set.

  3. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Remote Fax Opt. Press Menu/Set.

  4. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Fwd/Page/Store or Forward/Store. Press Menu/Set.

  5. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Off

  6. Press Menu/Set.

  7. Press Stop/Exit.

If there are faxes in memory when you turn Fax Storage off, your Brother machine's LCD will ask you the following question:

Erase All Fax (Doc)? 1. Yes 2. No

Do one of the following:


  • Press 1 to erase all stored fax data and turn Fax Storage off.

  • Press 2 to keep the faxes stored in memory and leave Fax Storage on.
