I'm using SuSE 11.2. I cannot print to Brother monochrome machines. (Linux)
For the moment, use the Foomatic HL-1250 driver.
Linux Ghostscript does not appear to support the bit format conversion.
Check the SuSE community for updates to Ghostscript that may correct this issue.
