Your Brother machine does not support Automatic 2-Sided(Duplex) Copying (the machine automatically copies on both sides of a sheet of paper). However you can manually make copies on both sides of a page.

To manually 2-sided(duplex) documents, follow the instructions below:

1. Press COPY to illuminate it.
    
2. Place your document face down in the ADF (automatic document feeder).
    
3. Press Start.
    
4. When the copy has completed printing, remove the copied document and load it in the paper tray, printed side UP.
    
5. Do one of the following:

    

   • If you are copying a two sided document, turn the document over in the ADF.
      
   • If you are copying a second document, remove the original document and place the second document face down in the ADF.

    

6. Press Start.
