When receiving a single page fax, why does the fax print on two pages or a blank sheet ejects afterwards?

If the received data is divided and printed on two pages or if you get an additional blank page, your Paper Size setting and/or the Reduction setting may not be correct for the paper you are using.

Adjust the paper size following the instructions listed below:

  1. Press Menu

  2. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose General Setup and press OK.

  3. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Paper and press OK.

  4. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Paper Size and press OK.

  5. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose the paper size you are using and press OK.

  6. Press Stop/Exit.

If you are using the fixed reduction feature, check to see if the reduction ratio is set to ON. (We recommend turning the setting to "AUTO REDUCTION" ON.)

To check the reduction setting:

  1. If the FAX mode key is not illuminated, press it.

  2. Press Menu.

  3. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Fax and press OK.

  4. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Setup Receive and press OK.

  5. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Auto Reduction and press OK.

  6. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose ON (or OFF) and press OK.

  7. Press Stop/Exit.
