I get the error message Type 1,010 when I am trying to scan into Mac OS® 9

Please verify that the ColorSync extensions and control panel are active on the computer. To do this open the Extensions Manager and select the ColorSync Files to activate them:

  1. Click on the Apple Menu.
  2. Select Control Panels.
  3. Select Extensions Manager.

Be sure that you place a check next to all the ColorSync related files and then restart the computer. You may also want to update the ColorSync to the current version. This is available as a free download from the Apple Computer, Inc. download site.
