What do the indicator lights mean?
The indicators light and blink to indicate the printer's status. The following symbols are used in this FAQ to explain the meaning of the different indicator colors and patterns.

Cooling |
The print head or motor is too hot.
Also, make sure that the printer has adequate ventilation and is not located in an enclosed space. This condition may occur more often when the printer is used at a high altitude (above 3,048 m / 10,000 feet) due to the lower air density available to cool the printer. |

In boot mode |
The power cord was unplugged or the machine’s power was turned off while the firmware was being updated, may cause the machine in boot mode. In this case, transfer the program again. If the error still occurs, contact Brother Customer Service. |
