If you are having problems receiving a fax from one specific sender, follow these steps:
Press .
Press All Settings.
Swipe up or down, or press the Up or Down arrow key to display Initial Setup.
Press Initial Setup.
Swipe up or down, or press the Up or Down arrow key to display Compatibility.
Press Compatibility.
Press Normal.
Press .
Have the "problem" sender send you a test fax.
If you receive the fax, the problem is solved.
If you do not receive the fax, go to STEP 9.
Have a different sender send you a test fax.
If you receive the fax, the problem is not with your Brother machine. There is likely a problem with the "problem" sender's fax machine or telephone line.
