How to identify your Operating System (OS).

It is important to use the correct drivers/utilities which are compatible with the operating system (OS) you are using. Follow the steps below to check the operating system (OS) you are using.

The latest drivers/utilities compatible with Windows are available in the Downloads section. Follow the steps below to check the operating system (OS), and go to the Downloads section.

 

Check the version of Windows

 

  1. Hold down the Windows(Windows) key on the keyboard and type R key. Or click Start => Run.
  2. Type "winver" in the empty field. Then, click OK.
    Run

     

  3. Check the version of Windows. That is the operating system (OS) you are using.
    The screen may differ for each operating system you are using. These are the screen examples.

Check the system type of Windows, 32-bit or 64-bit

 

Following is the instructions to check the system type of Windows, 32-bit or 64-bit.

 

(Windows 11)

 

  1. Click Start (Start) => Settings.
  2. Click System.
  3. Click About.
    Click About.
     
  4. Check the System type. This is the version that is displayed as your system type.

(Windows 10)

 

  1. Click Start(Start) => Settings(Settings).
  2. Click System.
  3. Click About and check the System type. This is the version that is displayed as your system type.
    Check the System type.
     

(Windows 8/8.1)

 

  1. On the Desktop screen, move your cursor to the upper or lower right corner of your Desktop screen. The menu bar will appear.
    NOTE: If the Start screen is on your computer screen, click desktop tile on the Start screen.
  2. Click Settings.
    Click Settings.

     

  3. Click PC info.
    Click PC info.

     

  4. The System screen will appear, check the System type. This is the version that is displayed as your system type.
    Check the System type.

 

(Windows 7)

 

  1. Click Start or Start on the left corner of the screen. Right-click Computer or My Computer and choose Properties.
    NOTE: The screen may differ for the operating system being used.
    Right-click the Computer or My Computer from Start menu.

     

  2. Check System type or System. The version that is displayed as your system type.

(Macintosh)

  1. Choose About This Mac from the Apple menu.
    Choose About This Mac from the Apple menu.

     

  2. Check the Version. The version that is displayed is your operating system (OS).
