My Apple device (iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, etc.) does not automatically reconnect via Bluetooth® when I turn the printer off and on again, or when the device moves out of range.
You can reconnect the Bluetooth and Apple devices (iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, etc.) (hereinafter referred to as “Apple device”) automatically by using the new Bluetooth auto reconnection feature.
To enable this feature, you need to download and install firmware version 1.00 or later.
See "How to identify the printer's firmware version". If your printer's firmware is not up to date, go to the [Downloads] section of this website and download the latest firmware version.
The Bluetooth auto reconnection feature allows you to store the previous Bluetooth connection settings, and reconnect to the Apple devices automatically if the device moves out of range, the printer is turned off and on, or the connection is lost for some other reason.
You can check the Bluetooth auto reconnection feature settings by printing the printer information report.

To connect the printer to another Apple device via Bluetooth, do the following:
If the Bluetooth auto reconnection feature setting is on, it may take a long time to connect another Apple device. To avoid this, turn the Bluetooth auto reconnection feature setting off. Then perform the step 2 and turn the Bluetooth auto reconnection feature setting on.
