How do I correct blank pages?

This may occur if the laser dust proof glass has moved out of position. Use the following procedure to check the laser dust proof glass.

 

 

  1. Power off the printer.

  2. Open the top cover.

  3. Push in the two green OPC belt cartridge lock levers to release.

  4. Hold the OPC belt cartridge by the handle and lift and remove the OPC belt cartridge.

  5. Open the front cover.

  6. Remove all four toner cartridges. The laser unit is located underneath the toner cartridge.

  7. The laser dust proof glass has a bar-coded white label on the left side. Verify the laser dust proof glass is clipped down into place and is not loose. If the laser dust proof glass is not securely in place then remove the laser dust proof glass form the inside of the printer.

  8. The printer will print correctly and can be temporarily used without the laser dust proof glass in place. but it requires replacement. Call your dealer or a Brother authorized service representative.

  9. Reinstall the toner cartridge and close the front cover.

  10. Reinstall the OPC belt cartridge and pull the two lock levers outward to secure.

  11. Close the top cover and power on the printer.
