When scanning a document to be copied or faxed, the LCD shows "OUT OF MEMORY". What should I do?


  1. This message means the memory capacity of the unit has been exceeded. The amount of memory used depends on the amount or type of data on the documents being faxed or copied. If you get an "OUT OF MEMORY" message while scanning the first page of a fax, press Stop/Exit to cancel scanning.
    If you get an "OUT OF MEMORY" message while scanning a subsequent page, you can either press Fax Start to transmit the pages that were scanned so far, or press Stop/Exit to cancel the operation.

  2. Clear the faxes and schedule jobs in the memory. To gain extra memory, you can turn off Fax Storage.
     
    1. Press the Menu/Set key on the control panel.
    2. Press the up or down navigation key until REMOTE FAX OPT appears and press Menu/Set.
    3. Press the up or down navigation key until FORWARD/STORE or FWD/PAGE/STORE appears and press Menu/Set.
    4. Press the up or down navigation key until FAX STORAGE appears and press Menu/Set.
    5. Press the up or down navigation key until OFF? appears and press Menu/Set
    6. After printing has finished, press Stop/Exit.
  3. Print the faxes that are in the memory.

     

    1. Press the Menu/Set key on the control panel.
    2. Press the up or down navigation key until REMOTE FAX OPT appears and press Menu/Set.
    3. Press the up or down navigation key until PRINT DOCUMENT or PRINT FAX appears and press Menu/Set.
    4. Press Fax Start.
    5. After printing has finished, press Stop/Exit.
