How do I store received faxes into memory? (Fax Storage)
You can store incoming faxes in your Brother machine's memory by enabling the Fax Storage feature. With Fax Storage enabled, all incoming faxes will be stored in your Brother machine's memory, but your Brother machine also automatically prints faxes as they are received. This is a precautionary feature that ensures you will not lose your messages in the event of a power failure. The LCD will indicate when you have a fax stored in memory.
TURNING FAX STORAGE ON
To enable the Fax Storage feature, please follow these steps:
If you turn Fax Storage on, your Brother machine will not be able to receive color faxes unless the sending machine converts them to black and white.
TURNING FAX STORAGE OFF
To disable the Fax Storage feature, please follow these steps:
If there are faxes in memory when you turn Fax Storage off, the LCD prompts you to erase or print any faxes in memory:
- Press 1 to erase or print all fax data and turn Fax Storage off.
- Press 2 to keep the faxes in memory and leave Fax Storage on.
- If a copy of a particular fax has already been printed, then it will not be printed again.
