Change the sleep time setting

When the machine does not receive data for a certain period of time, it enters sleep mode. In sleep mode, the machine acts as though it were turned off.  While the machine is in sleep mode, the Back light is off and the LCD shows Sleep, but the machine can still receive data. Receiving a print file or document or pressing Go will automatically wake up the machine to start printing.

To change the timeout setting, follow the steps listed below:

  1. Press the + or - to choose General Setup. Press OK.
  2. Press the + or - to choose Ecology. Press OK.
  3. Press the + or - to choose Sleep Time. Press OK.
  4. Press the + or - to select the timeout setting. Press OK.
  5. Press Cancel.
