FAQs & Troubleshooting

Embroidery

  • One problem that may occur during embroidery is misalignment of the pattern.  Misaligned patterns may result when the fabric is loosely set in an embroidery frame.  Make sure fabric is set tightly in the embroidery frame so that it sounds like a drum if you were to tap lightly on the fabric.

  • Use an iron-on stabilizer when sewing thin fabrics, stretch fabrics or fabrics which easily pucker. Prepare a stabilizer material that is larger than the embroidery frame to be used. Make sure to attach the correct surface of the iron-on stabilizer to the fabric securely with an iron.

When embroidering fabric that should not be ironed or when embroidering an area that is difficult to iron, hoop a layer of the iron-on stabilizer under the fabric in the embroidery frame without ironing.
