Scan using XSane or GIMP (Linux)
1. Scan using XSane
- Make sure you have installed the scanner driver (brscan2 or brscan3).
- Make sure you have installed XSane from your distribution's repository.

Start XSane:
- Click XSane in the application menu.
- Enter xsane in the terminal.
- The XSane dialog box appears. Select the settings you want, and then click Scan.
To scan via USB, log in with the root account or configure udev.

2. Scan using GIMP
- Make sure you have installed the scanner driver (brscan2 or brscan3).
- Make sure you have installed GIMP and XSane from your distribution’s repository.
- Start GIMP.
- In the File menu, click Create > XSane > scanner name.
- The XSane dialog box appears. Select the settings you want, and then click Scan.
