How do I store Speed Dial numbers on my Brother machine for easy dialing?
You can program your Brother machine to do one type of easy dialing: Speed Dialing. If you lose electrical power, Speed Dial numbers stored in memory will not be lost.
Storing Speed Dial numbers:
Speed Dial numbers are stored as two-digit locations on the dial pad of your Brother machine. Once you have programmed a number to a Speed Dial location, you can dial the number by pressing Speed Dial key, the two-digit number, Send a fax, and then Black Start (Mono Start) or Color Start (Colour Start) key. The Brother machine can store 100 Speed Dial numbers. To store Speed Dial numbers, please follow these steps:
- Press Speed Dial.
- Press More.
- Press Set Speed Dial.
- Do one of the following:
Enter the name (up to 16 characters) and press OK.
-OR-
To store the number without a name, press OK.
- Enter the fax or telephone number (up to 20 digits).
- Press OK.
- Do one of the following:
Enter the second fax or telephone number (up to 20 digits) and press OK.
-OR-
If you do not want to store a second number, press OK.
- To choose where the number will be stored, do one of the following:
To accept the displayed next available Speed Dial location, press OK.
-OR-
To enter a different Speed Dial location, press a 2-digit number using the buttons on the LCD. Press OK.
If the 2-digit Speed Dial location you choose is already taken, the OK button on the LCD will not work. Choose a different location.
- When the LCD displays your settings, press OK to confirm.
- Do one of the following:
To store another Speed Dial number go to STEP 2.

To finish press Stop/Exit.
