Check your machine's IP Address or Node Name

You can find your machine's IP Address or Node Name via the Remote Setup from your computer, follow these steps below.

 

  1. Start the ControlCenter application.

     

    • (Windows)

       

      1. Click the ControlCenter4 (ControlCenter4) icon in the task tray and then choose Open from the menu. The ControlCenter4 window will appear.
         
      2. Click the Device Settings tab (the example below uses Home Mode).

    • (Macintosh)

       

      1. Click the ControlCenter2 (ControlCenter2) icon in the Dock. The ControlCenter2 window will appear.
         
      2. Click the DEVICE SETTINGS tab.

  2. Click the Remote Setup. The Remote Setup window will appear.
     
  3. Choose TCP/IP in the folder tree.

    Check and record your machine's IP Address or Node Name.

    The default node name of the Brother machine is "BRN[your machine's MAC Address / Ethernet Address]" for a wired network or "BRW[your machine's MAC Address / Ethernet Address]" for a wireless network.
