Change the number of times my Brother machine rings before it answers.
The Ring Delay setting determines the number of times your Brother machine rings before it answers in Fax Only or Fax/Tel Mode. If your Brother machine shares a line with other telephones or if you subscribe to your telephone company's Distinctive Ring service, you should choose the maximum number of rings.
Follow the steps below to change your Brother machine's Ring Delay setting:
- Press
(Settings).
- Press All Settings.
- Press the Up or Down arrow key display Fax.
- Press Fax.
- Press the Up or Down arrow key to display Setup Receive.
- Press Setup Receive.
- Press the Up or Down arrow key to display Ring Delay.
- Press Ring Delay.
- Press the Up or Down arrow key to diplay the options, and then press the number of times the line will ring before the Brother machine answers it.
- The number you can choose varies depending on the model and country you bought the machine in.
- If you choose 0, the line will not ring at all.

- Press
(Home).
