FAQs & Troubleshooting

When receiving a single page fax, why is it divided and printed on two pages or why do I get an extra blank page?

If the received faxes are divided and printed on two pages or if you get an extra blank page, your paper size setting may not be correct for the paper you are using.

Adjust the paper size following the instructions listed below:
  1. Press Menu.
  2. Press the up or down arrow key to select General Setup and press OK.
  3. Press the up or down arrow key to select Paper and press OK.
  4. Press the up or down arrow key to select Paper Size and press OK.
  5. Press the up or down arrow key to choose the paper size you are using and then press OK.
  6. Press Stop/Exit.

Also we recommend turning on Auto Reduction. If the Auto Reduction is set to ON, the machine calculates the reduction ratio by using the paper size of the fax and your Paper Size setting.

To set Auto Reduction ON, follow the instructions listed below:

  1. If the FAX mode key is not illuminated, press it.
  2. Press Menu.
  3. Press the up or down arrow key to select Fax and press OK.
  4. Press the up or down arrow key to select Setup Receive and press OK.
  5. Press the up or down arrow key to select Auto Reduction and press OK.
  6. Press the up or down arrow key to choose ON and press OK.
  7. Press Stop/Exit.
