The screen ‘locks’, or the printer does not respond normally.

Please reset the printer and reset the internal memory to the initial settings.

To reset the printer, perform the following steps.
 

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. While holding the [Shift] key ( shift key / shift key ) and [Backspace] key ( backspace key / backspace key ), press the [Power] key (power key) once.  
     
  3. Finally release the [Shift] key (shift key/shift key) and [Backspace] key ( backspace key / backspace key ).
     

If resetting the printer does not solve the problem, disconnect the AC adapter and remove the batteries for more than 10 minutes.
