Why does my machine display "ERROR" when I press the print key?

The following conditions will cause the machine to display "ERROR":

 

  • The "Print" key was pressed to print a two-line-label when using a 1/4" (6 mm) wide tape.

    You can only print a two-line-label when using a 3/8" (9 mm) or wider tape. Delete the return mark and make a one-line-label, or change the tape cassette.

  • The "Print" key was pressed when character size is to "SIZE5", "SIZE4" or "SIZE3" using a 1/4" (6 mm) wide tape.

    When you are using a 1/4" (6 mm) tape, only "AUTO" and "SIZE2" are available. Please change the character size setting, and try it again.
