FAQs & Troubleshooting |
Can the cutting machine cut felt, leather and synthetic leather?
Felt with a thickness of about 3 mm and leather or synthetic leather of about 2 mm can be cut.
Use one of the specialized sheets for fabric cutting (Iron-on Fabric Appliqué Contact Sheet (White Backing) or High Tack Adhesive Fabric Support Sheet) when cutting fabric.
Iron-On Fabric Applique Sheet : This is applied to the fabric or suitable material.
High Tack Adhesive Fabric Support Sheet : This is applied to the standard mat for best results.
- For details on the sheets for fabric cutting, refer to Mat, Cutting Blade and Material Combinations, Cut a thin fabric for the quilt piece. (How to use the High Tack Adhesive Fabric Support Sheet.) or Cut the fabric other than quilt pieces. (How to use the Iron-On Fabric Applique Contact Sheet.)
- These thickness values are approximate guidelines. Since the values may differ depending on the material or its hardness, always perform a test/trial cut to confirm successful cutting. For details on trial cutting, refer to How do I perform trial cutting? (Test Cut).
- Included accessories may vary depending on the machine model. Required accessories not included with the machine may be purchased separately.
