FAQs & Troubleshooting

I adjust the blade extension and the cut pressure to the setting described in the Quick Reference Guide. But the result of cutting the material was not good.

Possible Causes (or Results)

The settings for the blade extension and the cutting pressure indicated in the table of the Quick Reference Guide are the general guidelines. The settings will vary depending on the type and tickness of the material to be cut or the condition of the blade.

Solutions

  • If part of the material is not cut, the cutting pressure may not be set appropriately for the material. Increase the cutting pressure.
  • If the entire pattern is not cut, the blade extension may be too small. Increase the blade extension.

  • Perform the trial cutting using the same material of your project, and then, check the results of the trial cutting.
  • If the results of the trial cutting were not good, repeatedly perform the trial cutting and adjust the blade extension until the material is cut cleanly.
    • Increase the blade extension little by little when you adjust the blade extension.

(2)Turn to the right to increase the blade extension.

    • If there is too much of a blade extension, the material may not be cut cleanly and the mat will deteriorate quicker.

    • When you repeat it a few times but the result of cutting was still not good, adjust the Cut Pressure.
