How do I register additional cordless handsets?

You can register up to 3 additional cordless handsets for a total of 4 cordless handsets to the machine (base unit). The cordless handset that was included with your machine is already registered with the machine (base unit).

 

Do not operate any other cordless handsets until registration of the cordless handset you are registering has completed.

 

  1. Press Menu/OK on the cordless handset.

 

If the message Enter Register HS mode on Base Unit appears on the LCD of the cordless handset, go to Step3.

  1. Press the up or down arrow key to choose Register HS. Press Menu/OK.
  2. Press Menu on the touchscreen of the Brother machine (base unit).
  3. Press the up or down arrow key to display Initial Setup.Press Initial Setup.
  4. Press the up or down arrow key to display Register Handset. Press Register Handset.
  5. Press Register. You will hear one long beep when the cordless handset is registered correctly.

 

  • If you hear three short beeps, the cordless handset did not register. Repeat Step2 through 6.
  • If you want to install another cordless handset, repeat Steps1 through 6.

  1. Press Stop/Exit on the control panel of the machine (base unit).
