How do I set up a group for broadcasting faxes?
Groups allow you to send the same fax message to multiple numbers using a process called Broadcasting. You can store the Groups on your One-Touch keys or Speed Dial locations, and then broadcast by pressing only one One-Touch key or Search/Speed Dial, #, the three-digit Speed-Dial location, and Start.
First, you'll need to store each fax number you wish to include in your Group as either a One-Touch or Speed Dial number. Then, you can combine these numbers into a group. Finally, you can have up to six Groups, or you can assign up to 239 numbers to one large Group. Each Group uses one One-Touch key or Speed Dial location. To set up a Group, please follow these steps:
- Press Menu, 2 (Fax), 3 (Set Auto-Dial), 3 (Setup Groups).
-
Press the One-Touch key on which you wish to store the Group and go to STEP 3 or press Search/Speed Dial followed by the three-digit Speed Dial location where you wish to store the Group and the Set key.
-
The LCD will read "SETUP GROUP: G0 ENTER & SET".
-
Use the dial pad to assign a number to the Group, and then press Set to confirm your choice. For example, press 1 to designate Group 1.
-
To include One-Touch and Speed Dial numbers in the group, enter them as if you were dialing. Enter the numbers you wish to place in this Group one after the other.
-

-
To enter a Speed Dial location, press Search/Speed Dial, then the three-digit location where the number is stored. For example, if you enter Speed Dial location 009, the LCD will read "#009".
-
To enter a One-Touch location, simply press the One-Touch key that the number is stored on. For example, if you enter One-Touch key 3, the LCD will read *03.
-
When you have entered every number you wish to store in the Group, press the Set key to accept the numbers you have entered. The LCD will read "NAME: ENTER & SET".
-
