How do I know the current network configuration?

You can print the Network Configuration page by the following methods:


  1. For FAX-1940CN:
    Hold down Shift as you press Ink/Reports key.

    For MFC models:
    Press Reports key on the control panel.

    For DCP models:
    Press Menu or Menu/Set on the control panel.

  2. For FAX-1940CN and MFC models:
    Press Up or Down arrow/navigation key and choose Network Config..

    For DCP-9040CN, DCP-9042CDN and DCP-9045CDN:
    Press Up or Down arrow/navigation key and choose Machine Info => User Settings

    For other DCP models:
    Press Up or Down arrow/navigation key and choose General Setup => Network Config.. (If you don't find the Network Config. menu, choose User Settings.)

  3. Press Start, Black (Mono) Start or Color (Colour) Start. The network configuration page will be printed and you can see the current network configuration of your Brother machine.

If the IP Address on the Network Configuration Report shows 0.0.0.0, wait for one minute and try again.
