Unpack your Brother machine

Follow the steps below to unpack the machine:

NOTE: Illustrations shown below are from a representative product and may differ from your Brother machine.

 

  1. Cut the plastic straps.

  2. Remove all of the plastic box joint caps.

  3. Lift to remove the box lid.

  4. Remove the power cord.
    Remove the power cord
  5. Remove the Quick Setup Guide, which contains initial installation instructions for your Brother machine.
    Remove the telephone line cord.

  6. Remove the packing foam.
    Remove the packing foam
  7. Lift the machine using two people, remove the rest of the box, and place the machine on a flat surface.

    To prevent possible injuries, at least two people should lift the machine.

  8. Remove the plastic bag.
    Open the document cover and remove the plastic sheet.
    Peel off all blue tape.

  9. Open the front cover.
    Open the front cover
  10. Pull out the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly.

  11. Remove all the orange packing material from the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly.

  12. Peel off all blue tape.
    Peel off all blue tape
  13. Make sure you remove all the orange packing material from the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly.

  14. Place the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly back into the machine.
    Place the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly back into the machine
  15. Close the front cover.
    Close the front cover
  16. Peel the blue tape from the paper support flap.

  17. Pull the paper tray out of the machine.
    Pull the paper tray out
  18. Remove the silica gel pack from the paper tray.
    Remove the silica gel pack from the paper tray
  19. Push the paper tray completely into the machine.
    Push the paper tray completely into the machine
