FAQs & Troubleshooting

I configured the "IP Config" method of the machine to "Auto" to assign an IP address automatically, however it was changed to "Static" unexpectedly. I get an error message that indicates IP address is not unique, or a document is printed out by the machine I didn't expected.

When wireless network connection is unstable and the APIPA protocol is enabled, you might experience this difficulty.

Follow these steps below to set the BOOT method back to AUTO and disable the APIPA protocol.

  1. Press Settings.
  2. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Network, and then press OK.
  3. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose WLAN, and then press OK.
  4. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose TCP/IP, and then press OK.
  5. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose BOOT Method, and then press OK.
  6. Choose Auto, and then press OK.
  7. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose APIPA, and then press OK.
  8. Choose Off, and then press OK.
  9. Press Stop/Exit.
