Change my Brother machine's default fax and copy settings.
You can program new default fax- and copy-option settings into your Brother machine. The defaults you program will remain in place until you change them.
You can save the fax-option settings you use most often—such as Fax Resolution, Contrast, Real Time TX, and Glass ScanSize—by setting them as your machine's new defaults.
To program new default fax-option settings, follow these steps:

You can save the copy-option settings you use most often—such as Quality, Enlarge/Reduce, Density, Page Layout, Remove Background, and 2-sided Copy—by setting them as your machine's new defaults.

- Press
(Fax)
- Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose the setting you want to change.
- You can choose Fax Resolution, Contrast, Real Time TX, or Glass ScanSize.
- Press OK.
- Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose the option you want to set.
- Press OK.
- Do one of the following:
- To change additional settings, repeat Steps 2 through 5.
- After you have finished changing settings, go to Step 7.
- Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Set New Default.
- Press OK.
- Press 1.
- Press Stop/Exit.

- You can choose Quality, Enlarge/Reduce, Density, Page Layout, Remove Background, or 2-sided Copy.
- Press OK.
- Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose the option you want to set.
- Press OK.
- Do one of the following:
- To change additional settings, repeat Steps 2 through 5.
- After you have finished changing settings, go to Step 7.
- Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Set New Default.
- Press OK.
- Press 1.
- Press Stop/Exit.
