Transfer faxes to the PC when my machine has a mechanical problem.

You can transfer faxes from your machine's memory to your PC if one of the following messages is displayed on the LCD:

  • Unable to Clean XX

  • Unable to Init. XX

  • Unable to Print XX

  • Unable to Scan XX
  1. Press image to interrupt the error.

  2. If you would like to see if there are faxes in the machine's memory, follow the steps below.

    1. Press image (Settings).

    2. Press the Up or Down arrow key to display Service.

    3. Press Service.

    4. Press Data Transfer.

    5. Press Fax Transfer.

    6. Press image.


  3. Make sure you have installed MFL-Pro Suite on your PC, and then turn on PC-Fax Receiving on the PC.

  4. Make sure you have set PC Fax Receive on the machine. If faxes are in the machine's memory when you set up PC-Fax Receive, the Touchscreen will ask if you want to transfer the faxes to your PC.

  5. To transfer all faxes to your PC, press Yes. You will be asked if you want a backup print.
    To exit and leave the faxes in the memory, press No.

  6. Press image.
