Why doesn't the image print on my Transmission Verification Report?
The image will only appear on the Transmission Verification Report if:
- The Transmission Verification Report is set to On+Image or Off+Image.
- You are sending a fax automatically.
- The Real Time Transmission feature is turned Off.
Verify the Transmission Verification Report is set for On+Image or Off+Image.
*If your Brother machine has a touchscreen, please follow the steps under "For touchscreen models" below.
- Press Menu and choose Fax => Report Setting => Transmission or XMIT Report.
- Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose On+Image or Off+Image.
- Press OK.
- Press Stop/Exit.
- Press Menu.
- Press the Up or Down arrow key to display Fax. Press Fax.
- Press the Up or Down arrow key to display Report Setting. Press Report Setting.
- Press Transmission or XMIT Report.
- Press On, On+Image, Off or , Off+Image.
- Press Stop/Exit.
Verify you are sending faxes automatically:
For the image to appear on your Transmission Verification Report, the document(s) you are faxing must temporarily be scanned into the Brother machine's memory. This only happens when you send a fax automatically by putting the document in the ADF or on the flat scanner glass, dialing the number you want to send to, and pressing Start.
If you send a fax manually by pressing Hook, Hook/Hold, Hold, Speaker Phone or Tel/R, dialing the number you want to send to, then pressing the Start once you hear fax-receiving tones, then your Transmission Verification Report will not display the image, even if it is set to On+Image or Off+Image, because your Brother machine did not scan the document(s) into memory.
Verify Real Transmission is turned Off:
*If your Brother machine has a touchscreen, please follow the steps under "For touchscreen models" below.
- Press FAX to illuminate it.
- Press Menu and choose Fax => Setup Send => Real Time TX.
- Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Off.
- Press OK.
- Press Stop/Exit.
- Press Fax.
- Press the Left or Right arrow key to display Real Time TX. Press Real Time TX.
- Press On.
