Change the quality of the faxes I send (Fax Resolution).
You can change the quality of your sent faxes by adjusting the Fax Resolution setting.
You can select the following Fax Resolution settings:
| Standard | Suitable for most typed documents. |
| Fine | Good for small print and transmits a little slower than Standard resolution. |
| S.Fine | Good for small print or artwork and transmits slower than Fine resolution. |
| Photo | Use when the document has varying shades of gray or is a photograph. This has the slowest transmission time. |
Please follow the steps applicable for your case.
- To change the Fax Resolution setting for the next fax only, go to Case A: Changing Fax Resolution for the next fax only.
- To change the default Fax Resolution setting, go to Case B: Changing the default Fax Resolution.
Case A: Changing Fax Resolution for the next fax only:
To change the Fax Resolution setting for the next fax you send, follow these steps:
- Press the FAX key to illuminate it.
- Load your document(s).
- Press the RESOLUTION key.
- Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to select the Fax Resolution setting you want to use.
You can select Standard, Fine, S. Fine, or Photo.
- Press the MENU/SET key.
- Enter the fax number you want to send to.
- Press the START key.
Case B: Changing the default Fax Resolution:
To change the machine's default Fax Resolution setting, follow these steps:
- Press the FAX key to illuminate it.
- Press the MENU/SET, 2 (Fax), 2 (Setup Send), 2 (Fax Resolution).
- Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to select the default Fax Resolution setting that you want to use.
You can select Standard, Fine, S. Fine, or Photo.
- Press the MENU/SET key.
- Press the STOP/EXIT key.
