Broadcasting is automatically sending the same fax message to multiple fax numbers. You can include Groups, One-Touch numbers, and Speed Dial numbers in a Broadcast.

To Broadcast a fax, follow these instructions:

1. Place the document(s) you will be faxing face down in the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF).
   
   After you put your document(s) in the ADF, the Brother machine's LCD should display "ADF Ready".
   
   
2. Press MENU/SET, 3 (Setup Send), 9 (Memory TX).
   
   
3. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose On.
   
   
4. Press the MENU/SET key.
   
   
5. Press 2.
   
   
6. Enter the fax numbers you want to Broadcast to:
   
   
   • If you want to include a One-Touch number or a Group stored on a One-Touch number in the Broadcast, press the One-Touch key on which you have stored the number or Group.
     
     
   • If you want to include a Speed Dial number or a Group stored on a Speed Dial number in the Broadcast, follow these steps:
     
     
     1. Press the SEARCH/SPEED DIAL key.
        
        
     2. Press the # key.
        
        
     3. Use the dial pad to enter the two-digit Speed Dial number you want to include.
   
   
7. Do one of the following:
   
   
   • If you want to add another number to the Broadcast, repeat STEP 6.
     
     
   • If you have entered all the numbers you want to Broadcast to, go to STEP 8.
   
   
8. Press the FAX START key.
   
   Your Brother machine will scan the document(s) into memory and begin sending the fax to each number you entered.
   
   After the Broadcast is complete, your Brother machine will automatically print a Broadcast Report. This report will list each number that was dialed, the date and duration of the fax transmission, the number of pages sent, and whether or not the fax transmission was successful.

Canceling a Broadcast in Progress

You can press the STOP/EXIT key to cancel sending to the number currently being dialed.


To cancel the entire Broadcast, follow these steps:

1. Press MENU/SET, 4 (Cancel Job).
   
   
2. Do one of the following:
   
   
   • If the Broadcast you want to cancel is the only waiting job, go to STEP 3.
     
     
   • If you have more than one job waiting, follow these steps:
     
     
     1. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose the job you want to cancel.
        
        
     2. Press the MENU/SET key.
   
   
3. Press 1 to cancel the job.
   
   
4. Press the STOP/EXIT key.
