Set up my Brother machine to forward the received faxes to another location.

You can use your machine's Fax Forwarding feature to forward the faxes you receive to another location. When Fax Forwarding is on, your machine will receive a fax into its memory, dial the fax number you programmed, and forward the fax to that number.

 

To turn Fax Forwarding on, follow these steps:

 

  1. Press Menu/Set, 8(Remote Fax Opt), 1(Fwd/Page/Store).
     
  2. Press the ▲ or ▼ key to choose Fax Forward.
     
  3. Press the Menu/Set key.
     
  4. Enter the number to which you want faxes forwarded.

     

    1. The number can be up to 20 digits long.

     

  5. Press the Menu/Set key.

    If there is a power failure, faxes stored in your machine's memory will be erased.

     

     

  6. Press the Stop/Exit key.

 

 

To turn Fax Forwarding off, follow these steps:

 

  1. Press Menu/Set, 8(Remote Fax Opt), 1(Fwd/Page/Store).
     
  2. Press the ▲ or ▼ key to choose Off.

     

    • If you turn Remote Fax Options off and there are faxes in the machine's memory, the machine will give you two options:

       

      • - If you press 1, all unprinted faxes will be erased before the setting is turned off.
         
      • - If you press 2, the memory will not be erased and Remote Fax Options will remain on.

     

  3. Press the Menu/Set key.
     
  4. Press the Stop/Exit key.
