Changing or deleting an existing One Touch number


To change or delete an existing One Touch number, follow these steps:


  1. Press Menu/Set.

  2. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose FAX and press Menu/Set.

  3. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose SET AUTO DIAL or QUICK DIAL and press Menu/Set.

  4. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose ONE-TOUCH DIAL and press Menu/Set.

  5. Press the One Touch key with the number you want to change or delete.

    • To access One Touch numbers 5 through 8, hold down Shift and the appropriate One Touch key.

    • Your Brother machine's LCD will display the name or number stored at that One Touch location with the message 1. Change 2. Exit.


  6. Press 1.

  7. Do one of the following to change or delete the currently stored number:

    • To replace digits, follow these steps:

      1. Press the Left or Right arrow key to position the cursor under the digit you want to replace.

      2. Type the new digit.

      3. Go to Step 8.


    • To delete the entire number, follow these steps:

      1. Press the Left or Right arrow key to position the cursor under the leftmost digit.

      2. Press Stop/Exit.

      3. Go to Step 10.


  8. Press Menu/Set.

  9. Do one of the following the change or delete the currently stored name:

    • To replace characters, follow these steps:

      1. Press the Left or Right arrow key to position the cursor under the character you want to replace.

      2. Use the dial pad to type the new character.

      3. Go to Step 10.


    • To delete the entire name, follow these steps:

      1. Press the Left or Right arrow key to position the cursor under the leftmost character.

      2. Press Stop/Exit.

      3. Go to Step 10.


    • If no name exists and you want to store the number without a name, go to Step 10.

  10. Press Menu/Set.

Changing or deleting an existing Speed Dial number


To change or delete an existing Speed Dial number, follow these steps:


  1. Press Menu/Set.

  2. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose FAX and press Menu/Set.

  3. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose SET AUTO DIAL or SET QUICK DIAL and press Menu/Set.

  4. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose SPEED-DIAL and press Menu/Set.

  5. Use the dial pad to enter the three-digit Speed Dial location on which you want to store the number.

    • You can enter 01 to through 120.

  6. Press Menu/Set.

    • Your Brother machine's LCD will display the name or number stored at that Speed Dial location with the message 1. Change 2. Exit.


  7. Press 1.

  8. Do one of the following to change or delete the currently stored number:

    • To replace digits, follow these steps:

      1. Press the Left or Right arrow key to position the cursor under the digit you want to replace.

      2. Type the new digit.

      3. Go to Step 9.


    • To delete the entire number, follow these steps:

      1. Press the Left or Right arrow key to position the cursor under the leftmost digit.

      2. Press Stop/Exit.

      3. Go to Step 11.


  9. Press Menu/Set.

  10. Do one of the following to change or delete the currently stored name:

    • To replace characters, follow these steps:

      1. Press the Left or Right arrow key to position the cursor under the character you want to replace.

      2. Use the dial pad to type the new character.

      3. Go to Step 11.


    • To delete the entire name, follow these steps:

      1. Press the Left or Right arrow key to position the cursor under the leftmost character.

      2. Press Stop/Exit.

      3. Go to Step 11.


    • If no name exists and you want to store the number without a name, go to Step 11.


  11. Press Menu/Set.

  12. Do one of the following:
