How do I eliminate the margin from the start or end of my label when printing?

Due to the construction of the tape mechanism, 23.9 mm (0.94") piece of tape that is produced prior to every label cannot be eliminated. However, when you print more than one label continuously, the subsequent labels can be printed without the excess tape.

The following methods are useful for reducing tape use:
 

  • Method 1 - Selecting "Narrow" in the Margin setting:

     

    1. Press the [Label] key ( label key / label key ).
       
    2. Press the arrow key up arrow key or down arrow key to select "Margin".
       
    3. Press the arrow key left arrow key or right arrow key to select "Narrow".
    4. Press the [OK] key ( ok key ) or [Enter] key ( enter key / enter key ).

      This eliminates the margin at the end of the tape after printing as shown below:
      Setting Example
      Full margin_full
      Half margin_half
      Narrow margin_narrow

 

  • Method 2 - Printing several labels at once by using the "Copies" function:

     

    1. Press the [Label] key ( label key / label key ).
       
    2. Press the arrow key up arrow key or down arrow key to select "Margin".
       
    3. Press the arrow key left arrow key or right arrow key to select "Narrow".
       
    4. Press the [OK] key ( ok key ) or [Enter] key ( enter key / enter key ).
       
    5. Press the [Print] key (print key / print key ) and select the number of copies to be printed using the arrow up arrow key or down arrow key key.
       
    6. Press the [Print] key (print key / print key ), [OK] key ( ok key ) or [Enter] key ( enter key / enter key ).

      This eliminates the margin of the subsequent labels as shown below:

  • Method 3 - Printing several labels at once by using the "Numbering" function:
  1. Press the [Label] key (label key / label key ).
     
  2. Press the arrow key up arrow key or down arrow key to select "Margin".
     
  3. Press the arrow key left arrow key or right arrow key to select "Narrow".
     
  4. Press the [OK] key ( ok key ) or [Enter] key ( enter key / enter key ). 
     
  5. While holding down the [Shift] key ( shift key / shift key ), press the [Print] key (print key / print key ) to display the print options screen.
     
  6. Select "Numbering" using the arrow up arrow key or down arrow key key. 
     
  7. Press the [OK] key ( ok key ) or [Enter] key ( enter key / enter key ) and select the number of copies to be printed using the arrow up arrow key or down arrow keykey.
     
  8. Press the [Print] key (print key / print key ), [OK] key ( ok key ) or [Enter] key ( enter key / enter key ).

 

  • Method 4 - Printing different labels continuously:  
  1. Press the [Label] key ( label key / label key ).
     
  2. Select the "Margin" menu.
     
  3. Select "Chain".
  4. Press the [OK] key ( ok key ) or [Enter] key ( enter key / enter key ).
     
  5. Enter the text.
  6. Press the [Print] key (print key / print key ).
     
  7. Select the number of copies to be printed using the arrow up arrow key or down arrow key key.
     
  8. Press the [Print] key (print key / print key ), [OK] key ( ok key ) or [Enter] key ( enter key / enter key ).
     
  9. Repeat step 5 to 8 until all labels have been created.
