FAQs & Troubleshooting

The LED is flashing in red and the printer status from the BPM (Brother Printer Management Tool) shows "Out of Ribbon" or "Ribbon Encoder Err./Ribbon End Err".

If the LED is flashing in red or an error message is displayed on the computer, check the following:

 

Is there enough ribbon remaining?
If not, replace the ribbon with a new one.

 

Is the ribbon installed correctly?

If not, install the ribbon correctly.
