What is Sublimation Printing?

Sublimation Printing is a printing process that uses heat and pressure to transfer special ink onto different materials.

This Sublimation Printer uses Sublimation Ink to print onto Sublimation Paper.

Sublimation paper needs to be used when sublimation printing.
Sublimation can only be done on polyester.
To maintain print quality, keep your machine connected to a power source all the time.
Use a heat press machine suitable for the material you are using.

Follow these steps to print a sublimaged image:

  1. Download Artspira
  2. Connect your machine
  3. Create your design.
  4. Print your image.
  5. Transfer your sublimated design using a heat press.
  6. Enjoy your finished project!

Be sure to choose the "Mirror Printing" setting when saving your design. For more information, click here.
Before printing on Sublimation Paper, be careful of the front and back sides of the paper, as well as its orientation.
To ensure the printable side is facing down, confirm that the paper's cut corner is in the lower right corner of the paper tray. For more information, click here.

  4. Print your image.

Make sure your design is a mirrored (reversed) print, so it transfers onto your final project correctly.

  5. Transfer your sublimated design using a heat press.

Sublimation transfer should only be done on polyester.
Transfer temperature and time vary, depending on the base material. For more information, see this Heat Press Guide.

    • About (2): Placing Butcher Paper directly under the Heat Press can prevent ink from sticking to the iron plate.
    • About (3): Using Heat Resistant Tape to stick the Sublimation Paper to your T-Shirt can keep the image from shifting.
    • About (6): Placing Butcher Paper inside the T-Shirt can prevent ink from bleeding through to the other side of the T-Shirt.
    • Transfer temperature and time vary, depending on the base material. For more information, see this Heat Press Guide.
