Unpack your Brother machine and install the toner cartridge

Follow the steps below to unpack the machine:

NOTE: Illustrations shown below are from a representative product and may differ from your Brother machine.

 

  1. Open the box.

  2. Remove the package containing printed materials and the installation disc.

  3. Remove the power cord.
              
    Remove the power cord
     
  4. Remove the telephone line cord.
               
    Remove the telephone line cord
           
  5. Remove the starter toner cartridge.
                 
    Remove the starter toner cartridge
          
  6. Remove the packing material.
                     
    Remove the packing material
                            
  7. Lift the machine out of the box.
                
    Lift the machine out of the box
             
  8. Remove the plastic and the tape.
                 
    Remove the plastic and the tape
     
  9. Open the front cover.
         
    Open the front cover
     
  10. Remove the drum unit.
     
    Remove the drum unit
     
  11. Place the drum unit on a clean, flat surface.

  12. Remove the orange packing material.
     
    Remove the orange packing material
     
  13. Unpack the toner cartridge.
       
    Unpack the toner cartridge
     
  14. Remove the protective cover.
      
    Remove the protective cover
     
  15. Put the toner cartridge into the drum unit.
       
    Put the toner cartridge into the drum unit
     
  16. Install the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly back into the machine.
      
    Install the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly back into the machine
     
  17. Close the frotn cover.
           
    Close the frotn cover
     
  18. Pull the paper tray out of the machine.
       
    Pull the paper tray out of the machine
     
  19. Remove the packing material from the paper tray.
        
    Remove the packing material from the paper tray
     
  20. Push the paper tray completely into the machine.
       
    Push the paper tray completely into the machine
