No Paper / No Paper Tray1/Tray2/MP Tray
There are several reasons that the Brother machine displays No Paper, No Paper Tray1, No Paper Tray2 or No Paper MP Tray.
Check the following points to clear the error message.
Cause 1: The machine is out of paper, or paper is not loaded correctly in the paper tray.
Cause 2: The machine failed to feed paper from the indicated paper tray.
Cause 3: The MP tray is out of paper, or paper is not loaded correctly in the MP tray.
Cause 4: Paper dust has accumulated on the surface of the paper pick-up rollers.
Cause 5: The paper you are using may not meet our specifications.
Cause 1: The machine is out of paper, or paper is not loaded correctly in the paper tray.
Do one of the following:
- Refill paper in the paper tray. Make sure the paper guides are set to the correct size.
- If paper is in the tray, remove it and load it again. Make sure the paper guides are set to the correct size.
- Do not overfill the paper tray.
Cause 2: The machine failed to feed paper from the indicated paper tray.
Do one of the following:
- Refill paper in the paper tray indicated on the machine's display (hereinafter called LCD). Make sure the paper guides are set to the correct size.
- If paper is in the tray, remove it and load it again. Make sure the paper guides are set to the correct size.
- Do not overfill the paper tray.
Cause 3: The MP tray is out of paper, or paper is not loaded correctly in the MP tray.
Do one of the following:
- Refill paper in the MP tray. Make sure the paper guides are set to the correct size.
- If paper is in the MP tray, remove it and load it again. Make sure the paper guides are set to the correct size.
This feature is available only for some models.
Cause 4: Paper dust has accumulated on the surface of the paper pick-up rollers.
Clean the paper pick-up rollers.

Cause 5: The paper you are using may not meet our specifications.
Check that you use the paper that meets our specifications.
