Confirm that a FAX I sent was received correctly.
You can use the Transmission Verification Report and Fax Journal (Activity Report) as confirmation that you sent a fax.
Transmission Verification Report
You can use the Transmission Verification Report as proof that you sent a fax. This report lists the receiving party's name or fax number, the time and date of transmission, duration of transmission, number of pages sent, and whether or not the transmission was successful.
There are several settings available for the Transmission Verification Report:

On: Prints a report after every fax you send.

On (+Image): Prints a report after every fax you send. A portion of the fax’s first page appears on the report.

Error only: Prints a report if your fax is unsuccessful due to a transmission error.

Error only (+Image): Prints a report if your fax is unsuccessful due to a transmission error. A portion of the fax’s first page appears on the report.
- Off: The report will not be printed.
Follow the steps below to program the Transmission Verification Report:

Press (Settings) > All Settings > Fax > Report Setting > Transmission or XMIT Report.
If your machine displays the All Settings menu on the Home screen, skip the Settings menu.

Press one of the above-listed settings.
If you select On (+Image) or Error only (+Image), the image will not appear on the Transmission Verification Report if Real Time Transmission is set to On. The image will not appear on the report when you send a color fax.(Only available for some models)

Press (Home).
- If the transmission is successful, "OK" will appear next to "RESULT" on the Transmission Verification Report.
- If the transmission is not successful, "NG" or "ERROR" will appear next to "RESULT" on the Transmission Verification Report.
Fax Journal (Activity Report)
You can also use the Fax Journal (activity report) which lists the last 200 incoming and outgoing faxes. (TX means Transmit, RX means Receive)
You can set the machine to print a Fax Journal at specific intervals (every 50 faxes, 6, 12 or 24 hours, 2 or 7 days).
Follow the steps below to set the report interval:

Press (Settings) > All Settings > FAX > Report Setting > Journal Period.
If your machine displays the All Settings menu on the Home screen, skip the Settings menu.

Press Journal Period.

Press the Up or Down arrow key to select an intervals.

6, 12, 24 hours, 2 or 7 days
The machine will print the report at the selected interval and then erase all fax jobs from the Journal's memory. If the memory becomes full with 200 jobs before the time you selected has passed, the machine will print the Journal early and then erase all fax jobs from the memory. If you want an extra report before it is due to print, you can print it without erasing the jobs.

Every 50 Faxes
The machine will print the Journal when the machine has stored 50 fax jobs.

6, 12, 24 hours, 2 or 7 days

If you selected 6, 12, 24 hours, 2 or 7 days, press Time and enter the time of day using the LCD. Press OK.

If you selected Every 7 Days, press Day. Press the Up or Down arrow key to display Every Monday, Every Tuesday, Every Wednesday, Every Thursday, Every Friday, Every Saturday or Every Sunday, and then press the first day for the 7-day countdown.
- Press (Home).
Printing the Fax Journal report on demand
You can print the Fax Journal report on demand by following the steps listed below. Please note that printing the Fax Journal report in this manner will NOT erase the call data in your Brother machine's memory.
Follow the steps below to print the Fax Journal report:

Press (Settings) > All Settings > Print Reports.
If your machine displays the All Settings menu on the Home screen, skip the Settings menu.

Press Fax Journal.

Press Yes.
- Press (Home).
